Aracha Saeakari Notes:
This is the “rough tea” aracha version of the Sencha Saeakari. This cultivar was created by blending the pest resistant Z1 with the aroma and umami rich saemidori.
Due to its high yield and strength in competition, it is expected to replace the ubiquitous Yabukita in the long term.
Takaki’s work here is exceptional with citrus and herbaceous qualities enhancing the tea’s natural sweetness.

This is the “finished tea” sencha version of the Aracha Saeakari. This cultivar was created by blending the pest resistant Z1 with aroma and umami rich saemidori.
Due to its high yield and strength in competion, it is expected to replace the ubiquitous Yabukita in the long term.
Takaki has toasted this selection with careful skill, drawing out a nutty quality that enhances the corn like sweetness without sacrificing the citrusy pepper nose.
