Notes:This Tsuyuhikari by Takaki is representative of one of the most widely grown tea cultivars in Japan.
Registered in 2003, it is a cross between Asatsuyu and Shizuka 7132, both native to Uji and both considered suited to gyokuro production. It was grown widely in Shizuoka even before registration.
The terroir of Hoshinomura has brought out fruity and buttery characteristics with excellent depth of colour in the brew.
