Mr. Chen, our go-to Phoenix Mountain tea farmer these days, has access to 100 year old + Rou Gui on the land his family manages. Highly unusual to find this cultivar growing on Fenghuang (Phoenix Mountain), it provides for that memorable cinnamon mineral back note that the Rou Gui cultivar is famous for, while bringing in unusual notes of papaya and an intense nose of lily and hyacinth. For ideal extraction, it benefits from a small yi xing clay packed full.
