Bio
Lester Q
Soulful acoustic and electric Folk, Blues and Roots music; like a cool blue stream flowing over luxurious tones, smooth shapeshifting sound…this is the music of Lester Quitzau. With understated mastery and grace, the Juno Award winning musician explores the space between the notes, as much as the notes themselves. Lester Quitzau’s music goes many places… rockin’ slow and easy front porch style, then on down a long winding road, covering many a mile, with heart and soul at the wheel.

“Lester combines a Blues base and a sense of Jazz improvisation and a spiritual quality to his music. It’s very soulful and connects on the dance floor and to the heart.”
Holger Petersen, Host, Saturday Night Blues, CBC Radio

“Lester Quitzau rattles and reverberates the cornerstones of folk, jazz, blues and rock…” (FFWD magazine).

Bio
Sister Speak is the recording alias for Canadian singer and guitarist Sherri Anne. Hailing originally from Canada’s west coast and southern California, Sister Speak’s sound is a fusion of alternative, folk, reggae and world music influences. Sister Speak has toured extensively throughout North America, Europe and Central America and has released four critically acclaimed albums to date, each of them “a result of moments of extreme vulnerability transformed into music,” says Sherri Anne. Her upcoming release, Coming Home, is a heartfelt homage to her roots in British Columbia. With Juno-Award winning engineers Elisa Pangsaeng and Erik Neilsen(bassist of City and Colour) at the helm, get ready for a new maiden voyage.

Recently, Sister Speak has supported Air Supply, The Doobie Brothers and reggae legend Don Carlos among others. Her music has been featured on CBC, BBC, NPR, “California Roots Presents” playlists, and various radio stations around the world. During her time in California, Sister Speak was voted “Best Pop” at the San Diego Music Awards and “Top Ten Rhythm Guitarists” by NBC.

Bio
Truth and Dolphin

“Like Thom Yorke jamming with Leonard Cohen and Destroyer.”
– Reso Nation

Truth and Dolphin perform a style of slam poetry set to melodic folk rock. Originating in Victoria BC, their first album “Chronicles of Living Memory, Part 1” received radio play across Canadian university radio and public radio, making the top 10 for three months in Kamloops’ CFBX-FM. With tea merchant Jared Nyberg on vocals, visual arts painter and guitarist Steve Chmilar (former lead singer of 2000’s The Villain’s) on guitar, loop and back up vocals, they are often joined by multi-instrumentalist and fellow songwriter Cory Christiansen, with Sister Speak’s Sherri Anne lending her vocals and guitar for select shows.
