Notes: This gorgeous looking Zhu Ye Qing (trans. Bamboo Leaf Green) has been pan fired and grown at 1200m in Emei Mt., one of the Four Sacred Buddhist Mountains of China. It is widely considered the most famous green tea (or “lu-cha”) you can get from Sichuan. The appearance is reminsicent of both yellow tea and a Long Jing if it were not pressed. The combination of tropical monsson and subarctic climate brings out canteloupe, conifer and matsutake notes we find delicious.
