Notes:
The Takaki Family came in 16th place nationally with this competition grade green tea from Hoshinomura, Japan. The village has consistently placed first for the past 13 years. (This year all of the top 30 finalists were from Hoshinomura)
This year they used the saemidori cultivar and grew under shade in an isolated lot, hand picking and hand sorting for a breathtaking end flavour featuring notes of rose and butter.
