Mr. Shi stole the show in 2021 for us with selection after selection coming out on top for us in blind cuppings amongst hundreds of teas. This “Floral Lasang Souchong” is emblematic of why, where Shi has taken a tea that is often undrinkably smokey, and instead highlighted incredibly complex and floral aromatics of vanilla, rose and malt. We just keep coming back to this tea over and over again.
