Sister Speak has toured extensively throughout North America, Europe and Central America and has released four critically acclaimed albums to date, each of them “a result of moments of extreme vulnerability transformed into music,” says Sherri Anne. Her upcoming release, Coming Home, is a heartfelt homage to her roots in British Columbia. Truth and Dolphin
“Like Thom Yorke jamming with Leonard Cohen and Destroyer.”
– Reso Nation
Truth and Dolphin perform a style of slam poetry set to melodic folk rock. Originating in Victoria BC, their first album “Chronicles of Living Memory, Part 1” received radio play across Canadian university radio and public radio, making the top 10 for three months in Kamloops’ CFBX-FM. With tea merchant Jared Nyberg on vocals, visual arts painter and guitarist Steve Chmilar (former lead singer of 2000’s The Villain’s) on guitar, loop and back up vocals, they are often joined by multi-instrumentalist and fellow songwriter Cory Christiansen, with Sister Speak’s Sherri Anne lending her vocals and guitar for select shows.
