Notes: Samcholing Tea Co-op in Bhutan has only recently started making Zangja (trans. premium leaf) a deeply oxidized crimson. The seeded trees have deep root structure and are propogated and processed similarly to the teas we get from Mandokoro in Japan. When we cupped this in Trongsa with the producers, we were mesmerised by its caramel and sweet toasted orange fragrance.
