Continuing our single cultivar sencha series, we brought in a strikingly fruity Okuyutaka from Takaki. A cross between Yutakamidori and F1NN8, the cultivar makes up less than 1% of cultivated tea area domestically in Japan, likley due to its short harvest window.
We were blown away by its peach and chocolate like flavour notes and the violet nose that Takaki was able to highlight through his excellent firing.
