Notes:

The Takenishis, a husband and wife team, have a forest encased micro-lot in the mountains of Nara, producing a complex aracha with notes of strawberry, bamboo shoots and a nose of violet.
We visited this tea garden during the harvest and bought the tea before it was further processed into sencha: although it has more stems, we find the rough element means more interesting flavour dynamics.
